Paule's friend Max gets hold of the magical Christmas book. Before he knows it, he is standing in the middle of the snow-covered Christmas world. There he meets the mysterious Songwriter. Beutolomäus discovers Ruprecht's dark secret and now suspects what damage the fake Father Christmas is doing to the Christmas world. But before he can do anything, he is caught by Ruprecht.
