In honor of the new swimming pool at St. Clare, a big swimming competition will be held among the girls. The final swimmer is to be the respective class teacher. The girls in the first class are horrified when they are assigned the French teacher "Mademoiselle" as a substitute for their class teacher Miss Roberts. They see their victory literally "swimming away". But Mademoiselle provides a great surprise.
